3.4 PRESENTATION IV: Renting a Car

Image
This  exposition was presented by Analy Colque, Fran Mata, and Luis Manuel Cabello. The subject they chose to talk about was to rent a car.  They started the presentation by explaining some specific terms and referring to cars and driving, like parts of the car or important documentation. Then they have explained why renting a car is usually needed when you go on vacation, and give us some examples of expressions that are normally used when you talk to a company who rents cars. They have done such a good job. Their oral expression was great and they seemed to know what they were talking about. They didn't read a lot and managed to improvise.

3.3 PRESENTATION III: Choosing a Hotel

Image
THIS PRESENTATION WAS MADE BY ALEJANDRO CHÁVES, DARÍO GÓMEZ AND DIEGO VERDUGO The second presentation of the day was about choosing a hotel. First, they announced that their team was missing a member, Diego, who could not be here because of personal issues, but he worked on the powerpoint so we will give him credit for that. (And he is very good at expositions though he couldn't do this one). They have told us how to choose the best hotel in the city we're visiting and how to make a reservation of a room. Their presentation was good. They give very good advice on choosing hotels, and useful words and expressions so we can understand the options given by the hotel. Their pronunciation was great and their way of present and express the information.  I have nothing bad to say about them.

3.2 PRESENTATION II: Booking Flights

Image
THIS PRESENTATION WAS MADE BY MARINA, AITANA AND I .   We made a presentation with some  slides of words and vocabulary, useful sentences (and their traduction), and an example of a conversation inside an airplane. We did not only talk about how to book a fligh because we thought it is also important to know how to read de information screens inside an airport, and to understand the safety procedures inside the airplane, so we also gave examples of all that. We think we did a pretty good job, and that our classmates found our presentation interesting. One of them said that he thought there was good chemistry between us so our presentation was entertaining. We are all so proud of this presentation!

3.1 PRESENTATION I: Giving Directions

Image
THIS PRESENTATION WAS MADE BY CRISTIAN MORALES, EVELYN GUERRERO AND MANUEL RUEDA Today's presentation was about giving directions. They explained what answers can I give when someone asks us how to go to somewhere . They have done a pretty good job, although they have read the whole thing. They tried to pronounce things the right way and had very useful slides with vocabulary and sentences you can use to give directions. They also had a recording of an example of a conversation that could happen in real life. Overall, it was a great exposition although they can improve some aspects.  The rubric is on Moodle

2.6 Niche Market | Pretty Lefty Thing

Image
Hello! This is our niche market of school material for left handed people. This was just the first concept, we didn't have a name or a slogan yet.  Then we came up with Pretty Lefty Thing , and your slogan is: "Are you a lefty kid?". Then we recorded a video to promote our bussiness. It starts with a left handed kid struggling with cutting a paper with scissors for right handed people. Then, we presented a lot more problems the lefty kids face in their school years, like desks for right handed people or their arm always hitting their friend's. Then, we made a video for promoting our brand. I'm not putting it on here because I'm shy but it is uploaded on Moodle!
