Hi! Today we did a speaking. We had to recreate a situation where one of us is Paul, who needs to go home from work inmediatly, and my classmate had to do my tasks. This is the speaking:   Paul: Hello, Marta. I have an emergency and I have to leave sooner.  I have some tasks left for today and I need you to finish them up for me,  if you don’t mind. Hello! I've found a job advert for a Cabin Crew position, also known as flight attendant. Is the perks of being a flight attendant what make this a job I would love. It provides plenty of contact with people, which is great because I really like meeting people from different cultures. It also gives you the opportunity to travel a lot, and meeting new countries is something I'm passionate about. Some of the responsabilities flight attendants have are greeting passengers as they board and exit the plane, showing them their seats and serve them meals or supply them with in-flight entertaintment. One of the responsabilities I know I would love is to demonstrate the emergency equipment and safety procedures. On the other hand, I don't think I would like to deal with children and troubling passengers, but overall, it is a wonderful job and the persk really pays off the cons.  

Hello! In this class we had to write an e-mail to a non speaking friend. This is what I wrote: Hi Mike! I've got a new job as an assistant buyer at Ralph Lauren. I prepare the budgets, place and track supplies, and negotiate with vendors. I work for a man named Bryan, which is Mark's cousin, the friend who recommended me for this job. I assist my boss with the selection of the products and pricing strategies. My colleage in the office is called Miranda, our desks are facing each other's so we chat a lot in our spare time and have lunch together everyday. We usually get some food from the market stalls that are right in front of our building. The buiding is in New York. Manhattan, to be more specific. I have to take the subway to get there because I'm living in Brooklyn, but at least the station is not that far from my flat, just five minutes by foot.  A day in the office Hello!      Today I have something to show. This is a picture of an office that has people working in it. It has a pretty plant on the right that seems to be authentic but it could also be made of plastic. It has thin colums and some seats on a beautiful navy blue that matches the walls. The desks are facing each others so employees can see their coworkers if they have a look over their computers. I'm not really sure about this, but it looks like the windows have views to a park or something like that. If you go straight to the end of the room, you can find a door that leads to the stairs. Right on the left, there are the elevator, and next to it, we've got the bathrooms. It seems like a nice place to work because it is so clean and organized. People looks focused That's all for today!

Hello, my name is Marta, I'm 22 years old. and I'm studying Commercial Activities at IES Columela. I'm creating this blog because my english teacher told me to do so. I like writing and reading, and I used to play in a band but I left when I was 17 because it took a lot of time from me. I also love english because I feel like everything sounds better when it's spoken in english. I have a B1 Certificate from Cambridge but I'm pretty sure I have a higher level, so I'm planning on going for B2 this year. If I could live anywhere in the world I'd actually love to be moving in and out and spend a bit of time in different countries because I want to experience different cultures from around the world.
