1.6 Roleplay

Hi! Today we did a speaking.

We had to recreate a situation where one of us is Paul, who needs to go home from work inmediatly, and my classmate had to do my tasks.

This is the speaking:

 

Paul: Hello, Marta. I have an emergency and I have to leave sooner. 

I have some tasks left for today and I need you to finish them up for me, 

if you don’t mind.

Marta: No problem. Tell me.

Paul: First of all, there’s a folder on my desktop with today’s date. Make sure you print all the documents in there and leave them on my assistant’s desk. I’m also waiting for an important call from Mr. Williams at half past twelve. Tell him I’m sorry but we’ll have to reschedule.

Marta: To which day?

Paul: My assistant will tell you, don’t worry. Also, do you have the list of clients that are waiting for the e-mails, right?

Marta: Yes, I do have it. Do you want me to send them?

Paul: If it’s not too much trouble, yes, please.

Marta: Okay, don’t worry. So, let me see if I’ve got it. Send the emails to the clients, print the documents and leave them on your assistant’s desk, and… Wait for Mr. Williams’ call and tell him you have to reschedule to the day your assistant tell me.

Paul: That’s right. If you have any question you can call me. Thank you so much, Marta. See you tomorrow!

Marta: You’re welcome!
