Hello! In this class we had to write an e-mail to a non speaking friend. This is what I wrote: Hi Mike! I've got a new job as an assistant buyer at Ralph Lauren. I prepare the budgets, place and track supplies, and negotiate with vendors. I work for a man named Bryan, which is Mark's cousin, the friend who recommended me for this job. I assist my boss with the selection of the products and pricing strategies. My colleage in the office is called Miranda, our desks are facing each other's so we chat a lot in our spare time and have lunch together everyday. We usually get some food from the market stalls that are right in front of our building. The buiding is in New York. Manhattan, to be more specific. I have to take the subway to get there because I'm living in Brooklyn, but at least the station is not that far from my flat, just five minutes by foot.  A day in the office Hello!      Today I have something to show. This is a picture of an office that has people working in it. It has a pretty plant on the right that seems to be authentic but it could also be made of plastic. It has thin colums and some seats on a beautiful navy blue that matches the walls. The desks are facing each others so employees can see their coworkers if they have a look over their computers. I'm not really sure about this, but it looks like the windows have views to a park or something like that. If you go straight to the end of the room, you can find a door that leads to the stairs. Right on the left, there are the elevator, and next to it, we've got the bathrooms. It seems like a nice place to work because it is so clean and organized. Hello, my name is Marta, I'm 22 years old. and I'm studying Commercial Activities at IES Columela. I'm creating this blog because my english teacher told me to do so. I like writing and reading, and I used to play in a band but I left when I was 17 because it took a lot of time from me. I also love english because I feel like everything sounds better when it's spoken in english. I have a B1 Certificate from Cambridge but I'm pretty sure I have a higher level, so I'm planning on going for B2 this year. If I could live anywhere in the world I'd actually love to be moving in and out and spend a bit of time in different countries because I want to experience different cultures from around the world.
